Q; what does no warranty mean for these Cypress products? A: 2015 – Cypress products that start with 2015 have a “No Warranty” description on them. These products came to Digi-Key under NCNR terms. The pricing will reflect the NCNR terms but will still fall under Digi-Key’s terms and conditions. With the suppliers NCNR terms, there will be no returns to the supplier for any reasons, including failure analysis. These parts are fully tested products and will follow all specs of the datasheet posted.
In short: There is no difference in the products. The 2015 prefix is used for our records keeping for an internal program we have with this vendor. There can be many reasons why there is a pricing difference in the parts: Date codes (older stock), Excess inventory, etc…
